Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, of course, you can arrange this directly with your nanny. She will let you know what her overnight fee will be. Keep in mind your nanny will need somewhere to sleep (in the same room as your child is perfectly okay, as long as she’s comfortable). You will, of course, need to provide meals.

Yes, if your nanny is accompanying you to a paid venue, you’ll need to cover her entry fee. She’s there to support your family, and this ensures she can be with your children the entire time. Often, her entry fee will be a local fee and quite a bit cheaper.

If your nanny is with you over a mealtime, it’s thoughtful to offer them a meal or snack, especially if you’re dining out. Many families simply include the nanny in their food plans when out and about.

Tipping isn’t required, but it’s always appreciated! If your nanny goes above and beyond, a 10% tip for every hour they work (which is around $1), is a nice amount, however this is absolutely a personal choice.

To make sure you get the support you need, we recommend booking more days upfront, so your nanny is available when you need them.

Recommended Booking Guide:

Travelling for 10+ days?

Book a nanny for 7-10 days – Most families love having a nanny for at least half their trip!

Travelling for 7 days?

Book a nanny for 5-7 days – A great balance of relaxation and family time.

Travelling for 4 days?

Book a nanny for 3 days – Perfect for a couple of date nights or some well-deserved downtime.

Many families start with just a few days, but once they see how wonderful their nanny is, they wish they had booked more days! By securing your nanny in advance, you’ll have flexibility and peace of mind knowing they’re available when you need them.

Want to Extend Your Booking?

Already in Bali and need more time with your nanny? No problem! You can extend your booking anytime through our website; just log in, top up your Nanny Pass and put through another booking request with the same nanny (if she’s available of course).

The number of nannies you need depends on the ages and needs of your children. While one nanny can comfortably care for up to four older children, younger children require more attention, and additional support may be needed.

Here are some general guidelines:

  • 1 nanny for up to 4 children – If all children are 8 years or older, one nanny may be able to supervise them.
  • 1 nanny for 2 children under 5 – This is possible, but another nanny may be recommended for extra care and attention.
  • 1 nanny for a baby or toddler – Easily manageable.
  • 1 nanny for 3+ children under 5 – Not recommended as young children require constant supervision and care. A second nanny is highly recommended.

Ultimately, it is up to the parents and the nanny to decide what feels manageable. Each nanny has the right to accept or decline a booking based on the number and ages of the children. If you’re unsure, we recommend booking an extra nanny for added support to ensure everyone has have a stress-free experience!
